Sheilagh has several disabilities including being neurodivergent (AuADHD), having PTSD from road incidents and has fibromyalgia and back issues.
Norman assists her in numerous ways and these include riding shotgun when she is a car passenger. By giving deep pressure therapy, warmth and grounding her it keeps her in the present and helps prevent flash backs where she feels the car spinning and panic attacks.
Sheilagh finds it difficult both initiating and finishing social interaction. Norman is usually a good topic of conversation to start things off and to finish Norman knows the cue to jump up as if he needs something. This lets Sheilagh say she needs to go and get finished so she can take him out.
Due to dyspraxia Sheilagh drops things constantly and its painful to bend and pick them back up. Norman has been taught an "oops" cue to pick things up from the floor and jump up to her with them.
